The American Legion Warffemius-Seidler Post 381 membership meeting opened at 7:30 pm
at Post HQ, 14313 Brandywine Heights Road, Brandywine, MD by Post Commander Ron
Fisher.

The meeting opened with a moment of silence.
Reports: Commander Ronald Fisher presented the financial report. MSP.
Old Business: Cmdr Fisher recapped the recent Alzheimer fund raiser the Post supported.
Assistant Service Officer Sherry Miller highlighted a recent NAACP Prince George’s County Branch meeting where she represented our Post. Cmdr Fisher was present and also provided some input. They are having their annual Halloween fund-raiser on Friday, Oct 28. Post 381 will buy a table for 10. MSP. Post 381-member Bob Ross is running for re-election to the PG Branch President position, and NAACP membership applications were made available for anyone who wants to support our Post member and the NAACP.
Second Vice Commander Tyrone Eugene recapped the various communications he had with The Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission, Prince George’s County Planning Department (P&P) members Don Herring and Alvin McNeal since last April. It was admitted to 2nd V-Cmdr Eugene they no longer have possession or access to the book the Post presented to them detailing the planning, projects and programs the Post intends to conduct once on-site. Over the past six months, the P&P commission has asked several times for the Post to present to them specific parts our plans, even though they had already been presented and delineated in the book. Nevertheless, the Post replied to and complied with each request. This Friday, October 21, The P&P will host a meeting with the Post, as well as several members of the Prince George’s (PG) County Commission and other stakeholders to discuss these delays in P&P signing the lease to allow Post 381 to take possession of Wilmer’s Park. All Post members are invited to this meeting at the PG County Offices, 14741 Governor Oden Bowie Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD, at 1:30pm.
