The American Legion Warffemius-Seidler Post 381 membership meeting opened at 7:33 pm 
at Post HQ, 14313 Brandywine Heights Road, Brandywine, MD by Post Commander Ron 
Fisher.

Invocation from Post Chaplain (Chap), Chris Marshall 

Minutes from the previous meeting was presented and approved with corrections. 

Introduction of new member:  

Sherry Miller was introduced. 

Reports: 

Treasury Report was given by Commander (Cmdr) Ron Fisher. MSP. 

Chaplin’s Report by Chap Marshall. Cmdr Fisher’s father is doing well. 

Service Officer’s Report was given by Cmdr Fisher. Members of the Post attended the NAACP Veteran’s Community Meeting on November 11. 

Wilmer’s Park Committee report was presented by 3rd Vice Commander Tyrone Eugene. Some discussion was given on the wording of the lease. Cmdr Fisher met earlier that day with the Director of the Maryland Energy Administration, Leigh Williams. They walked Wilmer’s Park together, discussing several issues relevant to the State and Post 381. 

Park & Planning Archaeologist, Don Herring, talked with Cmdr Fisher this morning and reported that they are continuing to move forward. Cmdr Fisher also met recently with a member of the African-American Historical Society where they expressed a desire to be more involved with Post 381 and our move into Wilmer’s Park. 

Old Business: 

Cmdr Fisher said that video conferencing is partially installed, and should go live soon. He may be able to test it at next month’s meeting. 

Wreaths Across America has supported Post 381. In return, the Post has t-shirts on order and will sell for $25. 

New Business: 

Cmdr Fisher wanted to acknowledge a couple of people who have put in their time and effort on behalf of Post 381’s acquisition of Wilmer’s Park. After some discussion on how to show our appreciation, Finance Officer (FO) Neal-Robinson was asked to draft letters to Director Lee at the Governor’s office, and to PFC Nunn & Specialist Frazier for their recruiting efforts. 

FO Neal-Robinson has been talking with Rochelle Crump, Preside of the National Women Veteran’s United about chartering a Washington, D.C. post. 

Chap. Marshall asked about modifying the Post meeting schedule through the holidays. With the prospect of video-conferencing next month’s meeting, this idea was tabled. 

FO Neal-Robinson met with Girl Scout Troop 6202 leader Dee Knight, who wants to bring in monthly guest speakers to encourage the girls in developing their lives.
