Minutes 
March 21, 2016 

The American Legion Warffemius-Seidler Post 381 membership meeting opened at 7:36 pm 
at Post HQ, 14313 Brandywine Heights Road, Brandywine, MD by Post Commander Ron 
Fisher. 

A quorum being met by the following

Invocation from Post Chaplain, Chris Marshall. 

Minutes from the previous special meeting (January 17) and general membership (February 
4) meetings were presented and approved. 

Reports: 

Treasurer Report was presented by Cmdr Ron Fisher, accounting for all recent donations 
and expenses. MSP to accept this report. 

Sick Call was given by Chaplin Chris Marshall, remembering Fred Harley and an upcoming 
surgery; Pam Robinson’s husband and father, recovering from an automobile accident and 
heart attack, respectfully; Charles Robinson’s recent illness; and Cmdr Fisher’s upcoming 
surgery. 

Old Business; 

The Wilmer’s Park lease proposal was reviewed. This week Adjutant Erle Ross added the 
insurance quote to the package and will now bind the package and deliver to PGCC Cmdr 
Frank Porter, SMD Cmdr Will Trotter, and NEC Councilmember Ed White as soon as possible. 

A subject came up again from this process; that is that the Post officers should be bonded 
and insured. 

Cmdr Fisher is maintaining contact with Parks & Planning waiting for a date to sign the lease 
while anticipating lease approval from the DEC.  

New Business: 

Cmdr Fisher appointed member Sherry Miller as Assistant Adjutant. 

Department 1st Vice Commander has invited all the members of Post 381 to attend her 
installation as Department Commander. Date & place to be announced. 

First Vice Commander Henry Turner is working on the Post 381 Annex at Marlton Golf 
Course, and open it by July 4. Cmdr Fisher will contact the state entities to find the status on 
the grants. 

Adj Ross has the order form for next year’s polo shirts to see who was interested in ordering 
one before the May 6 deadline. 

On April 19, the Public Defenders motorcycle club is riding to Annapolis in memory of a 
recent State Police Officer who recently passed away.
