May 11, 2017  

The American Legion Warffemius-Seidler Post 381 membership meeting opened at 7:05 pm 
at the Baden Volunteer Fire Department Conference Room16608 Brandywine Road, Brandywine, MD by Post Commander Ron Fisher. 

A quorum being met by the following 
members in attendance or excused absences:                 Visitors:

MSP to suspend with normal ceremonies, move directly to election of officers and community meeting with The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (P&P). 

Old Business: 
Having one candidate per office all nominees were re-elected/elected to office by affirmation by the Post members in attendance. 

New Business: 
Baden Community Meeting: Cmdr Ron Fisher and P&P Commissioner Don Herring hosted a community meeting open to residents of the Baden community to present what Post 381 wants to do once we’ve acquired access to Wilmer’s Park, including concerts, the restaurant, paintball field, camping, etc. Many questions were asked and answered to the resident’s apparent satisfaction. While there was considerable concern with the projected increase of traffic on Highway 381, not a single resident voiced an objection to our plans. 

Next Post 381 membership meeting will be Monday, June 19, at 7:30pm, at Post 381 HQ, 14313 Brandywine Heights Road, Brandywine, Maryland. 

Meeting adjourned at 9:15pm.
